Thirteen-year-old cellist Joanna An is an eighth-grade student at The Wilberforce School in Princeton, New Jersey. She has studied cello with Dr. Hyojin Lee since 2024.

During the 2025–26 academic year, Joanna attended the Pre-Senior Program at Mannes Prep, where she was a member of its Chamber Orchestra. She is currently a member of the Bravura Youth Orchestra.

Joanna won First Place in the cello category of the 2026 Prima Volta Music Competition—Summer Edition. She has also received High Honors in the New Jersey Music Teachers Association Spring Recital Auditions on multiple occasions and was a prizewinner at the 2024–25 Music-Fest at the Rising Talents Festival.

Outside of music, Joanna enjoys reading adventure books and traveling.
